About the Opportunity

We're looking for an experienced Commissioning Field Engineer to support the startup, testing, and commissioning of electrical power distribution systems across a variety of complex facilities. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on field work, troubleshooting electrical equipment, and working directly with customers to bring critical infrastructure online.

You'll work with low- and medium-voltage electrical equipment including switchgear, breakers, transformers, relays, motor control centers, and protective systems while supporting projects from installation through final turnover.

What You'll Do
- Perform startup, testing, and commissioning of electrical distribution equipment.
- Execute functional testing of switchgear, transformers, relays, breakers, and motor control centers.
- Review electrical drawings, specifications, and construction documents to identify installation or design issues.
- Troubleshoot electrical systems and help resolve field-related technical challenges.
- Document testing activities and prepare commissioning reports.
- Support project teams during equipment energization and system turnover.
- Collaborate with customers, contractors, project managers, and manufacturer representatives throughout project execution.

What We're Looking For
- High School Diploma or GED with 10+ years of electrical experience; OR
- Associate Degree with 8+ years of electrical experience; OR
- Bachelor's Degree with 5+ years of electrical experience.
- Experience testing, maintaining, troubleshooting, or commissioning electrical power systems.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical construction drawings and technical documentation.
- Working knowledge of electrical distribution equipment and power system operations.
- Familiarity with NEC, NFPA 70E, NETA testing standards, and electrical safety practices.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in the field.
- Valid U.S. work authorization.

Preferred Qualifications
- NETA Level III or Level IV Certification.
- OEM field service training or manufacturer certifications.
- Experience supporting data centers, industrial facilities, utilities, healthcare facilities, or other mission-critical environments.
- Experience with relay testing, power system studies, or protective relaying systems.
